Liberty Reserve raised 31,000$ in donations
Last Thursday (January 8th, 2009), Costa Rica was hit by an intense 6.2 Magnitude Earthquake. The epicenter was only about 30 kilometers away from the capital city of San Jose. At least 23 people are dead and 11 missing. The numbers have fluctuated considerably, depending on the source. The quake, which started near the Poas Volcano, left more than 2,300 people homeless in communities of Heredia and Alajuela, north and northwest of San José respectively, according to CNE.
